People Related to my Birth

My uncle(Kamsa) trying to kill his very own sister(Devaki)
while her husband(Vasudev) stops him.
The interesting circumstances of my birth were all due to my uncle Kamsa.  He was the powerful king of Mathura.  He was so cruel and greedy that he imprisoned his own father in order to take control of the throne.  The only person that he showed any affection for was his sister, my mother, Devaki.

And even she didn't come before his own love of himself and the throne.  Everyone in the land of Mathura was fearful of him and they faced hard times because of his rule.

My parents were Devaki , as I already mentioned, and King Vasudev of the Yadus.  They were good, courageous people and did not lose their spirit after staying in prison for many years.  Nor did they despair after Kamsa mercilessly killed seven of their babies right after their birth.

Me with my foster parents
Yashoda and Nanda were my foster parents with whom I spent my childhood after Vasudev brought me to them.  Yashoda was a kind, loving mother who also happened to be the queen of Gokul.  My foster father Nanda, king of Gokul, was equally kind and affectionate.  Though they were strict at times, they pampered me during my initial years with them.
